Center for Land Use Interpretation (CLUI)

In the Spring of 2011 I spent 3 weeks at what felt like the edge of world.

During this time I worked on developing a series that I have called References. Looking to the overwhelmingly immediate and alien landscape I sought out instances of familiarity. Points of reference acted as handles, portals toward understanding.

I took a lot of photographs and I used the CLUI workshop to play with found materials and explore ideas. However, my stay was short and I left the table wanting more.
